Tooth Colored Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are used to restore a tooth that has decay or a very small crack. A composite filling is a tooth-colored resin that chemically bonds to the tooth structure after the decay is removed. This procedure is also utilized for cosmetic improvements of the smile by fixing any discoloration or reshaping any disfigured teeth.

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns are tooth-colored, ceramic caps designed to cover and restore damaged or weakened teeth. Crowns are often necessary when there are structural compromises due to large areas of decay, large fillings that are failing, or fractures of the tooth. They offer a natural look and can be used to treat decay and restore a tooth’s strength, shape, size, and function.

Worn Dentition

Worn dentition is the abnormal loss or decay of tooth structure. Excessive loss of tooth enamel can lead to discoloration, shortened or misshapen teeth, fractures, receeding gums, pain and sensitivity, or even bone loss.

Inlay

A dental inlay is a custom milled porcelain restoration that is placed within the grooves of a tooth, typically to repair cavities or other tooth damage. It’s a type of restoration that fits snugly into the hollow of the tooth, usually between the cusps, without covering the cusps themselves. Inlays are designed to be a more durable and a longer-lasting option than traditional fillings.

Onlay

A dental onlay is a custom milled porcelain restoration that covers the cusps (raised areas) of a tooth, essentially acting as a partial crown. It’s used to repair damage to teeth that is too extensive for a simple filling but not severe enough to require a full crown. Onlays are custom-made to fit the tooth precisely and are bonded in place. Onlays are designed to be more durable and a longer-lasting option that traditional fillings.

Bridge

A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of a series of artificial teeth and crowns that are cemented or attached to the teeth on either side of the missing space. This closes the gap, restoring both the function and appearance of the teeth. This course of treatment is not recommended if the teeth on either side of the space are ideal or the space is too large to tolerate the forces. In these situations, implants are a much better option.
