Preventative Dentistry
At Vita Dental we focus on maintaining oral health by addressing the risk factors, that when left untreated, often result in common dental problems like cavities, oral cancer, fractured teeth, and gum disease. Early detection and diagnosis of these risk factors is critical to maintaining a person’s dentition and preventing future extensive treatments.

Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing and restoring damaged or missing teeth in order to re-establish oral health and function. Restorative treatment can involve anything from simple cavity fillings and crowns to implants and full mouth reconstructions.
Oral Surgery Services
Oral surgery focuses on diagnosing and surgically treating diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the mouth and jaws. Drs. Jordan and Shaftel have received extensive high-level training in performing tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafts, implants, and biopsies. Dr. Jordan is also certified in IV sedation for those patients who wish to be asleep during their surgery.

Cosmetic Dentistry and Botox
A beautiful smile is one of the most sought after cosmetic features in the world. People from all backgrounds and professions want a bright, straight smile, and we are here to help turn that desire into reality. Whether through minor adjustments or major treatment plans, Drs. Shaftel and Jordan aim to improve your smile and help you feel confident in the way your teeth look.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are a wonderful option to replace a missing tooth (or teeth) and restore both its function and appearance. They act as artificial tooth roots, anchoring a replacement tooth like a crown, a bridge, or denture, effectively restoring the ability to chew and speak normally. They also help prevent bone loss in the jaw, which can occur when a tooth is missing. Dental implants are one the longest lasting dental restorations and commonly last a person’s entire life.

Periodontal Treatments
Periodontal treatments are used to address gum (periodontal) disease, which is a chronic infection of the gums, bone, and other tissues supporting your teeth. Periodontal disease can lead to serious consequences if left untreated, including tooth loss, bone loss, and systemic health problems (Cardiac, Lung, and/or Brain issues). Periodontal treatments can include scaling & root planing, gum grafting, pocket reduction surgery, and laser procedures.

TMJ Treatment
At Vita Dental, we are proud to offer temporomandibular joint dysfunction, otherwise known as TMJ, treatments to provide relief for our patients. TMJ is caused by an inflammation in the temporomandibular joint, which acts as a sliding hinge that connects your jawbone to your skull.
What are the symptoms of TMJ?
TMJ causes pain and discomfort along the jawbone and can make it painful to even move your jaw. While jaw pain and discomfort don’t always equate to TMJ, if you are also experiencing headaches, trouble chewing, or pain in the face, jaw, and ear, you’re more than likely experiencing TMJ.

Emergency
Treating a dental emergency is crucial to alleviate pain, prevent further damage, and ensure long-term oral health. Ignoring a dental emergency can lead to infections spreading, tooth loss, and potentially more extensive and costly treatments in the future. Most dental emergencies often have different treatment options ranging from a simple filling to more complex root canals or implants. Drs. Shaftel and Jordan will compassionately discuss your options and will expertly resolve your dental emergency.

Endodontics
Endodontics focuses on treating issues involving a highly inflamed or necrotic (dead) nerve within a tooth. Often these nerve conditions are intensely painful and require urgent treatment. The most common treatment to address this type of problem is root canal. Once treated, the tooth no longer has pain and can be restored with a filling or crown.
Orthodontics (Clear Braces)
Here at Vita Dental, we are proud to offer clear braces for our patients. Many people do not want to get the orthodontic treatment they need because they don’t want to undergo metal brackets and wires. However, you can still get the smile you want with the new alternatives available. We offer clear braces, which are much less noticeable than metal braces but still give patients the smile they deserve.
If you have any questions about clear braces, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (513) 777-9117.
